About Us
Dasmesh Girls Senior Secondary Public School came into being in the year 1981 at village Badal, Distt. Sri Muktsar Sahib. Two other sister institutions, one at Talwandi Sabo, Distt. Bathinda, and the other at Kotla Sultan Singh, Distt. Amritsar were also set up at the same time. These institutions were the result of the idea of imparting quality education in the rural areas, at the door steps of the parents, who were not in a position to send their wards to distant places for the purpose of receiving such type of Education
The School at Badal, the native place of Sardar Parkash Singh Badal, Honable former Chief Minister of Punjab is only for girls ( boys are admitted only upto 5th standard) whereas the other two are Co-Educational ones. This institution was formally inaugurated by Honble Sardar Bhagat Singh, IAS, the then Deputy Commissioner of the District Faridkot on Oct. 14, 1981, Sardar Harbans Singh Saini (Founder Principal) and Mrs. Jagdish Kaur Sidhu; the founder Vice Principal (Former Principal) played a vital role with the team of its dedicated staff members to make this institution a Light House of Education in this educationally coming up area
